Tattoo Barny
Spending his childhood living above a tattoo studio Barnaby has always been surrounded by tattoo history. His father founded the Tattoo Club of Great Britain newsletter in 1979 Tattoo International. At this time Lionel Titchener was organising tattoo conventions the first being held in Banbury Road, Oxford at the Lynton Lodge Hotel. It was here that Lionel first had the idea of creating a Tattoo History Museum after seeing a tattooing kit from WWII era that one of the old time tattooers had brought to the convention.

So the museum began and Barnaby saw displays of tattooing memorabilia and old design sheets appearing on the walls. This sparked a long interest in tattoo history for Barnaby and to date he has published three books on the history of tattoo.
